Message from the Massachusetts Chapter President:
It has been a wonderful couple of years for the Massachusetts Chapter. I am so proud of the Chapter’s board members and all that we, as a team, have accomplished thus far. We work relentlessly to build the strong foundation that is needed for the years to come.
To date one of the most memorable exhibits has been “Strokes of Genius, Women Artists from the Past and Present”. It was the iconic exhibit that has paved our road to success, the Chapter received great publicity in many publications and a full color catalog. More exciting exhibits are being planned including “Breaking Grounds” at the Endicott College in Beverly, MA, “Continuum” at the Fountain Street Gallery in Framingham and with the last exhibit for 2016 at the Cahoon Museum in Cotuit, MA.
We have been seeing an increment of artists from Massachusetts applying to NAWA in NY and eager to join the Chapter, many artists are coming forward in offering to help, and that is very promising for the future outlook and the creation of more committees. Every few months we have a social where all MA Chapter members are invited. Thus far we have had two socials and were both well attended and fun. We find that socializing sets the right tone, not only do we brainstorm on ideas but we listen to the concerns and questions of the membership.
It has been a great honor for me to serve as the President of the Chapter, and I look forward to what the future has in store for us.
– Nella Lush President, NAWA Massachusetts Chapter
